Our first anniversary in Melbourne
After a long, long time in Australia (a lifetime in Maria's case) we finally got the chance to go to Melbourne! We both loved the city... And we had a great first anniversary together, Maria and I! Here are the photos.

The free City Circle tram... Don't ever set foot on it! No air-condition and stuffed with cheapskate tourists! :o)

Carols at Candlelight
Maria and I went to Carols at Candlelight at Buranda Catholic Church today... The whole thing was an outdoors affair with a good-old Aussie BBQ and some of the state's best classical musicians. All in all, a great couple of hours of Australian Christmas - on a picnic rug, surrounded by torches, candlelights and glow sticks.

Pelicans at Bretts Wharf
At Bretts Wharf there are restaurants, really big ships, and pelicans! I opted to photograph the birds as I'd never seen pelicans in real life before (strangely enough)!

Maria and I took a few days off to visit Maria's parents in Rockhampton. Among the places we went were the Botanical Gardens (with a beautiful Japanese garden), and Yeppoon.
