Bachelor complete!

I'm putting my money on a passing grade for my last exam... Although I absolutely stuffed it, I think I scraped enough points to pass the course and, thus, graduate journalism!

That means I'm all done as an undergraduate student at UQ. It's kind of weird!!! My student card has even expired, so I'm not even a student any more - on paper anyway!

But I'll be back with a new student card - getting 50% off public transport and movie tickets - in just a couple of weeks! That's about how long I figure it'll take to finalise my postgraduate application for a Master of Commerce.

I mean, I'm already accepted into that program. I just have to actually graduate first before they give me the go to enrol!

Holidays and wedding

After ten months of cramming (a truth with certain modifications :p), I'm all ready for a long break... And a long break is what I get! Ahead of me are twelve - 12 - weeks of no uni! I have lots to do in my break though - most importantly, getting married!

There's still a whole lot to prepare for the wedding and life after the big day... Such as getting a new place to stay! I have to find someone to take over my room at the place where I live now, and then Maria and I have to find a new appartment, so that we can start our life as husband and wife together in the same place from day one!

I'm quite looking forward to that! :o)

Photos

Today's photos are from UQ's parklands... I took them in late October, but I haven't had time to put them up here until now.

I set out to get some photos of the jacaranda blossom - the Australian version of the more famous Japanese cherry blossom - sakura. Sadly, I missed out on the jacaranda peak. Too many exams! But I got a couple of nice shots of the blossom anyway, and of course some bird shots!

Better luck next year, I guess! :p
