A temporary resident… Me?! :o)

Finally got my temporary residency visa today!

After filling out countless forms, getting friends to swear that I didn't marry Maria to get a visa (I Love Maria :po), having my blood sucked out of me to see if I have HIV (negative), being zapped to check for TB (negative too), going through a general health check (all healthy), two police checks (not a criminal), and an immigration interview, I got my temporary residency visa today! I even got to pay around $2200 for the fun! :o)

But it was worth every single dollar, and every single ray of x to hit my chest! Now I am free to stay in Australia with my little wife - whom I Love so much - forever and ever! :o)

Almost...

In two years, it's time to get a permanent residency visa! But as long as I'm a good boy and don't get into trouble with the law, and as long as Maria and I are still together (of course we will be - I Love her and we're in it for life), getting the PR visa shouldn't be a problem!

Thought I'd just mention it! :p I'm pretty happy right now... I won't have to go back to the Dep't of Immigration for two years (although I don't really mind - there's a few very nice people that work there... seriously)! And Maria and I won't have to worry about any immigration problems for a while! Quite de-stressing!!!

Winter is drawing closer here... We got the oil-radiators out of the garage yesterday! You see, at night the temperature is now dropping to around 15C, which is very nice really... But when the apartment isn't all that insulated it still gets a bit cold!

No photos today, but I should be able to post something with the next update! A bit busy at the moment... Got an essay to write, a couple of websites to design and an optional additional mid-semester finance exam to study for! :o)

Well... Back to it! :o)
